Cranbrook BC Mount Baker School Tennis Courts. It was a labor of love and cooperation between this small city, the kids at Cranbrook’s only high school, and a tiny tennis club here that made these newly resurfaced courts a reality.
Not so long ago they were old, cracked and growing plenty of weeds, when a high school entrepreneurship class decided to take them on as a project. Their initial hope was to build an indoor tennis bubble, but when they found out the cost, they instead set their sights on the $355,000.00 that it would cost to fix and resurface these courts.
Bottle drives, talent shows and help from grants meant that the city and the school can now share these state-of-the art new courts with the world and play some great tennis in the shadow of Canada’s rocky mountains.
